Day 29:- Free, I love free

Over the years I have must have seen nearly a hundred signs outside hairdressers saying ” models wanted” and have always been to scared to go in and ask, for starters my hair is like a birds nest, I don’t even want to do it let alone anyone else wanting to do it and for seconds I have this overwhelming fear that if I walk in and ask everyone will just stop, look and laugh me out the building. But living a 1950′s lifestyle has given me so much extra confidence that last week I didn’t even bother with the signs I just walked into hairdressers asking if they needed anyone and found one that did and as a added bonus for me it was tonight ( hopefully this will save me doing my hair before the airport tomorrow). Now I would never let anyone but my hairdresser Steph cut or colour my hair but anyone else can style away and in this area having your hair put up costs between £40 -£50 and there is no way I could ever justify that. Also there is a couple of colleges in the area which do hair so when I get back I am going to get in contact with them because even if I have no where to go its still a couple of hours to myself being pampered. Last June a friend at the local beauty school had no model for her final exam so I stepped in for her ( being half naked in a room full of beautiful people so much worse then walking into a hairdressers) I got lots of treatments for free and put my name down on a list there to model too.

Nice easy front section, tonight it looks like I am sleeping face down.

Free is always best and will keeping a sharp eye out for model wanted signs.

I spent a lot of my day with my papa bear he has been extremely ill for at least the last 10 years and as he is single and I am his eldest child I do feel it is up to me to look after him and make sure he has everything he needs, whenever I go away I worry dearly about him but have today made sure he has everything he needs and I will keep checking in with him while I am away. As soon as I get back I will go around and cook him a nice homemade meal.

I have spent the last week washing and ironing all our clothes ready for Australia tomorrow I packed mine this afternoon ( very proud of myself my suitcase is only 3/4 full) and thought Ben would want to do his own as I couldn’t be sure what he wanted to take or leave I have since been told this was wrong he wanted me to pack his suitcase so we did it together we are now all done and ready to go.
