From what I can gather every women in Australia must be naturally beautiful, because there is no way they can be wearing make up in this climate unless they are moving around in a air-condition bubble. By the time I have finished putting my make up on its already started to come off with the heat. Think its time to rethink my make up routine, maybe tinted moisturizer is the way to go and with the red lip stick within an hour of wearing it I look like the joker from batman, I will be going to a make up counter this week and find out some tips and tricks for wearing make up in the heat.
Rag rolling is definitely the way forward for me, specially with all the walking and swimming I am doing keeps my hair styles with low maintenance.
Rags straight out of my hair.
Fringe clipped to the sides <3
We spent this morning walking around a local market, which are a lot like the markets back in England, lots of locally grown fruit and vegetables and some handmade gifts.
Market in Bussleton.
Ben even got into the market spirit and bought himself a new hat from a local townsman, an improvement in this weather from the flat cap.
As I have a few birthdays coming up over the next couple of months I decided to bring all my cross stitch bits and bobs over with me, so I am always being productive. I spent a lot of time today working on this piece which I am pretty sure now will take me the whole holiday to finish.
Owl always love you <3
According to the scales over here I have now lost a stone in weight since the 1st of January, my whole attitude towards food has changed even now I am away I am still eating super healthy something in the past I would have never ever done to me a holiday was just an excuse to eat even more. We went out for dinner this evening at a local restaurant and for the very first time in my life I order a salad for my dinner and it was super yummy I am even getting my five a day of fruit and veg and I feel amazing.

Hope you’re enjoying WA! I’m up in Perth (was down south last week actually – and it’s cooler down there). Yes the heat here does make it particularly challenging to wear make-up. A lot of Australian women go for a simple, minimalist look I reckon. I wear mascara everyday, mineral make-up powder and lip gloss. For work I’d add some liquid eyeliner to achieve my retro look (and work in air con!). You really do need air con here at home, work, your car etc. A word of warning – slap on the sunscreen and a hat everyday! I wear a moisturizer that has sunscreen in it for my face. Especially for the visiting Brits who I often see bright red after a thinking our sun is the same as yours – it’s not and can be very dangerous. I use an umbrella when picking my son up from school (3pm often is the hottest part of the day for some reason). Our UV index here is often extreme in summer – be sensible! But have fun!
Thank you so much will be trying some different make up, and I always wear suncream, far to scared of winkles <3 I am enjoying the warmth I have been told its snowing back home x
